The trend has moved toward multi-tasking in CNC machining. This means that all machining operations\u2014such as turning, milling, drilling, and threading\u2014are performed in a single process.  <\/p><p>KAMF has, of course, kept pace with these developments and has invested in two Turn\/Mill Centers with integrated robot technology. The benefits are numerous, such as the elimination of multiple setups\u2014often performed on several different machines\u2014the ability to run unmanned production using automatic material feeding and workpiece removal, and significantly higher precision. For example, we have workpieces that previously required seven setups and can now be reduced to a single setup in our Turn\/Mill Center. The result is significantly shorter lead times and more cost-effective production.
